Cherry Creek Rooftop Elopement in Denver
After dating for 7 years, Michelle and Walt were ready to get married and didn’t want to wait. So March it was. It didn’t matter what the weather would be like – at the end of the day they were going to be married. That’s all that mattered.
Michelle’s daughter, Claire, was decked out in a new dress and was maybe the most excited of them all! Walt walked down to James Brown and then beamed as Michelle and Claire walked toward him holding hands.
The wind whipped around, and made for a dramatic sky as clouds rolled in. Michelle’s hair flew every which way, but she took it all in stride, smiling broadly as Walt said his vows. About 40 friends and family circled around, bundled in jackets as Michelle and Walt were married.
At the end, Claire high-fived her new uncle as Michelle and Walt kissed. It was exactly what they wanted: relaxed and memorable, celebrating their love with come of their closest friends and family.
We took a walk around the block in Cherry Creek for some bride and groom, as well as family portraits. Cherry Creek is such a mix of olden buildings from the 1960s and 70s, and then large modern buildings. The mixture makes for great backgrounds for portraits.
Elopements are such a fun day. They are shorter and more relaxed than a “normal” wedding, but no less fun and definitely no less special. Being included is such a treat – documenting a wedding day, no matter the size, is always an honor.
