Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding : Kimi + Chris

flowers in wedding portrait

Kimi and Chris’s Denver Botanic Gardens wedding was just a knock-out, chic celebration, with the help of Emily of Bella Events. Flowers hung from the tented ceiling, lights twinkled and sunflowers bloomed brightly. Earlier that summer, I photographed Kimi’s sister’s wedding in Vail, so it was fun to be reunited a few months later.

Kimi got ready at her house, and her orange front door made for a great backdrop to show off her Jenny Packham dress and mint Christian Louboutin shoes. Her dogs were running around, finding love from all the bridesmaids. The first look, wedding ceremony and reception were all at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The flowers were in full bloom so we had ample photo opportunities.

Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend, making it feel very personal. The tented reception had a garden feel with flowers, colorful plates and glassware and pretty lights. Kate Carlton was a wonderful second shooter.

Denver Life Magazine featured this wedding in their Fall/Winter 2016 magazine!
